THE SOWETO OPERA QUADRO BACK IN SOUTH AFRICA AFTER THEIR TRUIMPHANT DEBUT IN CHINA !!

The incredibly popular and talented Quartet singers THE SOWETO OPERA QUADRO Are available for concerts and corporate events .

The group – which comprises tenors Edward Mabunda, Bokang Sehau and Elliot Koena and baritone Xola Mpola – show their versatility singing a diverse array of popular light classical, adult contemporary and operatic songs.

They have recently enjoyed a sellout tour of South Africa and had a attention grabbing season in the Peoples Republic of China.

The repertoire ranges from George Harrison and Johannes Kerkorrel to Verdi and Josh Groban and covers everything from classic, opera, classical jazz, African jazz opera to Christmas music. Songs included are O Sole Mio; Meadowlands; Unchained Melody; Brindisi; Lerato; Ave Maria, Santa Lucia; Halala Africa; Nessum Dorma,Nella Fantasia; You’ll Never Walk Alone; Prayer In The Night, Aranjuez and You Raise Me Up.

The quartet, which was formed in 2003 by a group of musicians from Soweto, have all sung with leading opera companies in South Africa and performed in oratorio and concerts. This year they will perform around South Africa as well as returning to tour of Asia.
